We have been holidaying in the Vendee since 2003 and loved it so much we decided to buy The Cornflowers seven years ago. We have welcomed friends and family to our holiday home each year and have some cherished memories.

Last year three generations of our family and our family dog holidayed together at The Cornflowers in July.

Sunny days were spent on the beach and boarding at Longueville. We also visited Jard Sur Mer, investigating rock pools in the afternoon on the beach and then staying for supper in the vieux port.

We visited La Rochelle for a day and strolled around the old port before sampling the local cuisine in a small family run restaurant. There was lots of do, whether you were 12 or 80!

Over the years we have been to some fantastic places; Puy de Fou is great for children, Venice Verte was so tranquil and green! We love the beaches at Longueville and so many restaurants to choose from.

Thanks for a lovely holiday - The Cornflowers is a perfect place for a family holiday !

Thought La Rochelle was beautiful particularly around the old harbour and hope to explore more of the old part of the town next time.

The children’s favourite were obviously the trips to the beaches but boating on Venise Verte will stay in the memory for quite some time.

We love the house all of which has been beautifully finished and the pool was always a welcome place to cool off after a long day on the beach !
